Innovate with a New Type for Model

Merles ten Boomer is a Dutch shoe designer known for being an enfant terrible of the scene, do not hesitate to innovate with new types to model different types of offenders with materials such as polycarbonates and even carbon fiber.
With a library full of conceptual pieces, ranging from purely sculptural to the forefront more bizarre, the London-based designer wants to reinvent his “Rapidprototypedshoe” the traditional craft of shoemaking, adapting to new technologies of 3D printing.
If until now you make a shoe to measure involves a wait of several weeks, with this laser prototyping machine the shoemaker can create a custom shoe for a client in a matter of minutes. The printer uses a 3D model of the foot of the person to deposit successive layers of powder (in this case two photopolymers) to a design and then harden through a bombardment of ultraviolet rays.
The shoe is also designed to be easily removable, so that worn parts can be changed without sacrificing the entire shoe. Including any pair could be returned when one gets tired of being unstructured model and to become another new pair of shoes by recycling materials, demonstrating how 3D printing shoe may be on the latest fashions and have environmental awareness.
